Item Description
10.75x16" DC Comics artboard has pen and ink original art for first splash page in Earth 2 Huntress back-up story from "Wonder Woman" Vol. 1 #295, published by DC Comics Sept. 1982. Art has been inked by Jerry Ordway. Wonderful art shows full body image of The Huntress from Earth 2 (daughter of Earth 2 Batman and Catwoman), holding a tied up and ill Alfred Beagle, Earth 2's version of Batman's butler Alfred (and in fact the original version of the character, who first appeared in "Batman" Vol. 1 #16). A criminal scrambles as Huntress threatens him should Alfred die. Both Huntress and Alfred are depicted standing in front of large clock face w/Alfred's profile on in, given the precarious timing of his poisoning. Text block and "The Huntress" title/logo at top are both stat paste-overs, while all else is hand-lettered or original art. Top margin has hand-inked title abbreviation and "(Huntress)" notation as well as issue/page numbers. Back has DC copyright inkstamp. Top right and lower corners have been clipped, but this does not affect art, which remains clean and Exc.
