Item Description
16.25x23-1/8" thin artboard has eight panels (not counting pre-printed title panel) of pen and ink original art w/screentone accents for March 29, 1981 Sunday page by Gary Trudeau. First two panels show White House w/dialogue discussing press conference dress code. Remaining panels show press corps asking President Reagan (who is not shown) questions, one asking "If Your Really Think It's Possible To Reconcile Deep Tax Cuts, Massive Military Spending And A Balanced Budget Without Having To Use Drugs." The other reporters reacting negatively. Reagan replies "That's Okay, Boys, I'm A Skillful Communicator And Educator" before going on to present a comparison between an orange and a nickel. Trudeau has signed last panel and Universal Press Syndicate copyright is at bottom left panel. Art was framed and as such artboard has aged. Typical aging to screentone accents but art remains clean and Exc.
