Item Description
Lot of seven 14.25x22-5/8" artboards feature pen and ink original art for complete seven page "Meddle 'N Medal" story in "Mister Magoo" #4, published by Dell in June-Aug. 1963. Art is by Dell Comics artist/art director John "JR" Chilly and features Mister Magoo misidentifying his house's window for a hole in the wall and tripping over the newspaper on his stoop, thinking his steps are in disrepair. Convinced his home is falling apart, he takes the "subway" (in reality an airplane), landing in Washington DC and bumbling his way into the Pentagon. The usual sort of Magoo hijinks ensue and he's tossed out after mistaking the military for a sabotage cell. Top of each artboard has stamped "Dell Comic - Magoo 4" and handwritten pages numbers. First page has some glue staining around "Mister Magoo" title paste-over, but rest of art remains clean and Exc.
