Item Description
11x17" thin artboard featuring pen and ink original art w/ink wash and white ink overspray by comic book artist Gene Colan and Bob McLeod for first issue of "Tomb Of Dracula" comic magazine published by Marvel Comics in Oct. 1979. Main "Dark Genesis" story was written by Marv Wolfman and features interior art by Colan and McLeod. Art is for page 30, featuring three panels, showing Florence Ebers on Westminster Bridge in London, England, w/Big Ben and Parliament behind her as she raises her arms to the night sky, summoning the recently resurrected Dracula, who arrives in bat form. A few penciled/inked notations at top margin, which has "Dracula" name in pencil and incorrect issue number. Reverse has "Tomb Of Dracula" inkstamp w/correct issue/page numbers written in as well as 1979 Marvel Comics Group copyright stamp. Page has lt. aging at margins but art is o/w Exc.
