Item Description
18-3/8x21-1/8" frame contains matted artboard w/oil painting original art by The Brothers Hildebrandt created in 1994 for Fleer's popular "Marvel Masterpieces" trading card series. Card #77 features the villain Mister Hyde, a Marvel comic supervillain who has battled Thor, Spider-Man and Daredevil among others since he first appeared in 1963. Mister Hyde is based upon the literary character of the same name by Robert Louis Stevenson. Signed "G & T Hildebrandt" at bottom. Tim Hildebrandt has since passed away. Few pieces of original Marvel art by The Brothers Hildebrandt come up for sale on the secondary market, making this a truly special piece. Art remains NM and ready for display as professionally matted and framed.
