Item Description
7.25x23" thin artboard titled "And The Same To You!" in pencil at left margin has India ink original art for Dec. 25, 1933 daily strip. Great Christmas-themes art features three panels w/Phyllis and Uncle Walt seated by Christmas tree w/Skeezix as Corky tells them he saw Santa Claus (who was clearly Uncle Walt in disguise), resulting in Corky finding a Santa Claus hat and beard in the closet and putting them on, saying "Corky Santa Claus Too!" Last panel has been signed in ink "King" by creator Frank King. Chicago Tribune copyright strip is also in last panel. Back has Tribune Engraving Room instamp and some inking. Glue staining at left/right. Pin holes along margins, w/moderate dust soiling and some glue staining at left margin. Art has a few small smudges but o/w remains VF.
