Item Description
11-1/8x17-1/8" Marvel Comics (w/"DC" written over it) artboard has Alex Maleev's pen and ink original art for page 14 of "Batman" #563, published by DC March 1999. Part of the "No Man's Land" storyline, Maleev's art features six panels w/Batman examining and opening manhole marked "GOPECO" (the "Gotham Power And Electric Company") where a paste-over stat is while discussing recon results w/Alfred (who is only partially seen in first panel). Alfred convinces Batman to check in w/Oracle (former Batgirl Barbara Gordon). Fourth panel shows her Clock Tower headquarters w/fifth panel revealing her seated in her wheelchair, talking to Batman, who abruptly cuts her off and ends communication in last panel. Oracle is seen in reflection of her computer monitor in last panel. Some scattered stat paste-overs to text (all Oracle computer dialogue/monologue are paste-overs) and batsymbol page number is paste-over as well. Some stats and cut out clock hands have been taped to artboard. Top margin has "Batman" stamped title and inked issue number w/"No Man's Land" storyline name inked along w/story issue/page numbers. Some pencil editorial notes at top/bottom and lower left margins. Aged strip of tape at top/bottom right margins. Art remains clean and Exc.
