Item Description
11x16-1/8" thin artboard has pen and ink original art by Denys Cowan for page 21 of "DC Comics Presents" Vol. 1 #90, published by DC Comics, Feb. 1986. Page features eight panels, showing Superman in first two panels, consulting Captain Atom (this issue featured the last appearance of the Charlton-era Captain Atom) and Firestorm about the villain Rayburn, showcasing the villain's past as a S.T.A.R. Labs scientist. Superman appears in first three panels, while Captain Atom and Firestorm appear in just one panel each. Cowan's pencils were inked by Dave Hunt, who has signed in black ink at upper right margin. Second and sixth panels have screentone accents. Top left and bottom corners have been clipped. Top margin has inked title/issue/page number and has uneven trim (not affecting art). Some minor edge aging but art remains clean and Exc. Could be matted and framed for a nice display.
