Item Description
Lot of four artboard sections (comprised of a total of seven strips), measuring 4.5x16-3/8" to 13.5x16.5" and featuring pen and ink original art for eight of 16 pages (artboards include other eight pages, but they are blank). 1950s. Art features Futureman character created by Sam Gold as he was involved in a variety of premium comic booklets like this; both in prototype and published formats. This mock-up booklet was created to sell to national advertiser. Story involves Futureman character called "Herc" and a scientist named "Wiz." Story is Herc's trip through "The Dimensional Barrier." Final panel shows him heading toward a planet. Art includes cover and title page, both w/"The Adventures Of Futureman" title. Artboards were taped together, though some have separated. Aged tape remains at margins, but does not affect any art, which remains clean and Exc. Comes w/photostats of the art. Something very unique for both space and comic book collectors. From the archives of premium creators Sam & Gordon Gold and comes with LOA.
