Item Description
1950s pair. 9.5x15.5" production premium doll on thin cardboard depicting "Fanny Brice As Baby Snooks." Doll has segmented, accordion-like body designed to have string attached to a pair of die-cut holes at top of head which is used to bounce the figure up and down as if dancing. Front has nice art image, w/ad for NBC radio program and sponsor Tums on reverse along w/instructions. Left arm has hairline crease and reverse side has some lt. dust soiling at top. Fine. While Fanny doll was produced, other characters were produced as prototypes in the development process of this premium (see following lots #2228-2229). Large and impressive 10x23.5" tall Little Orphan Annie Dancing Doll prototype has India ink and watercolor original art on die-cut artboard. Trace of lt. dust soiling, o/w Exc. Unique. From the archives of premium creators Sam & Gordon Gold and comes with LOA.
