Item Description
15-7/8x20.25" artboard has large sheet of paper attached to it at left/right w/aged strips of masking tape (w/glue staining at left/right edges). Art paper has mixed media original art depicting an idea for a "Mysto-Magic" fortune teller machine/advertising display that would be featured in appliance stores selling General Electric appliances. 1950s. Display features spinning wheel at top set around art image of kitchen (which is covered w/yellowed acetate piece; wheel has "Free - Your Good Fortune - Free" text at top and wheel features "GE" logo stat while all else is original art, showing Chaplin-like man w/"Will I Be A Bachelor?" hand-lettered text. Other images are bride, Navy officer, queen, cowboy, etc. Front of display features basket to catch dispensed fortunes w/"Free - Let Mysto-Magic Tell Your Fortune" text below it. Sides have shelves to display GE promotional material. Aside from aforementioned glue staining at artboard margins, paper has 1.5" tear at top and some minor scattered dust soiling. Art remains clean and would display VF if matted and framed. Back of artboard has Einson-Freeman Co. stamp, who worked frequently w/Gold. Interesting and unique original art. From the archives of premium creators Sam & Gordon Gold and comes with LOA.
