Item Description
Pair of 8.75x10.25" thick artboards w/mixed media original art size of 6.5x8" w/paper overlays. c. 1950s and prepared for possible use as a Post cereal premium as General Foods sponsored the "Lassie" TV show. First artboard has two separate cut-out pieces glued one on top of the other and mounted to artboard, showing "Lassie And Timmy" on woodgrain design, w/names below. Back has penciled name "Sam Gold" and both artboards have "A Creation Of Sam Gold - Premium King" foil crown stickers on backs. Second artboard has art applied directly to artboard depicting Lassie jumping through a hoop held by Timmy. "Lassie And Timmy" names at bottom done to look like plaque attached to wooden "frame." Artboards have lt. trace of margin aging but all art displays Mint. Unique pair. From the archives of premium creators Sam & Gordon Gold and comes with LOA.
