14-1/8x24.5" die-cut prototype countertop display featuring tempera original art, showing boy wearing Wheaties premium visor, which features nondescript images of five baseball players as well as baseball. 1930s. Hand-painted text at top reads"Free Wheaties Big League Sun Visor And Umpires Ball & Strike Indicator." As additional hand-painted text notes "The Big League Sun Visor Contains Names, Pictures And Autographs Of Famous Ball Players." Bottom portion of display has "Play Ball - Get Enough Sun Visors For Your Whole Team? hand-painted text. Folded bottom third for countertop display. Scattered dust soiling/aging w/corner tip wear including .75x1.75" corner area w/surface paper lift removing paint. VG/Fine overall. An impressive and unique piece.
