Item Description
12-3/8x12.5" album cover (cover only, no record) for popular doo-wop group The Flamingos'- "Flamingo Serenade" album, which was released in 1959 on the Roulette label. The Flamingos formed in Chicago, IL in 1952 and were inducted into the Rock & Roll HOF in 2001. Front has been signed in blue felt tip pen by founding members Jacob Carey (1926-1997) and Johnnie Carter (1934-2009) as well as Tommy Hunt (who joined in 1956) and Terry Johnson (who joined in 1961) as part of the "Modern Flamingos" incarnation of the group. Carey has added "Peace & Love - Flamingos" inscription and Hunt has added "Best Wishes - Flamingos" inscription. Cover has some handling wear w/scattered edge creases and corner tip wear. Back cover has inked name/date at top right corner. Fine overall w/bold signature/inscriptions. Comes with Hake's COA and Roger Epperson/REAL LOA.
