Item Description
10.75x15.75" artboard has pencil and ink original art by legendary comic book pair Jack Kirby and inker Joe Sinnott for page 6 of the Aug. 1970 issue of "Fantastic Four" published by Marvel Comics. Art is from "Bedlam in the Baxter Building!" story featuring the Maggia buying the Baxter Building, effectively forcing the Fantastic Four out of their home and headquarters. Page has six panels, w/first five showing Maggia meeting including Top Man, Gimlet and Big Rock, w/Top Man shooting Big Rock, revealing that they wear protective clothing. Last panel shows Mr. Fantastic and Invisible Girl in civilian clothing, pushing stroller containing their infant son Franklin. Fellow Fantastic Four members Crystal and The Thing are also seen, w/Thing feeding pigeons. Back has Comics Code Authority stamp and "Kirby/Sinnott" inked notation. Top left has stamped title w/handwritten issue/page numbers. Margins have some scattered editorial notations and lower right corner has .5x1" triangular corner piece missing. This does not affect art. Lower left margin has 1x1.5" area of faint staining, but does not overly detract from art's overall appearance, which remains VF.
