Item Description
6-7/8x21" thin artboard has India ink original art w/four panels for Nov. 22, 1958 daily strip. Art is by Julius Svendsen (1919-1971), Art shows Goofy in chair "reading" as Mickey comes in. Mickey waves and says hello, only for Goofy to ignore him, much to Mickey's dismay. Mickey then proceeds to lift Goofy's glasses, revealing he's been asleep the entire time. Both Mickey and Goofy appear in three panels each. Pasted "Mickey Mouse And His Friends" title at top left. Walt Disney Productions copyright strip pasted in second panel w/King Features Syndicate strip in last panel. Engraving stamp on reverse. Art has applied screentone accents, which have yellowed w/age as is typical. Art has a few scattered tiny spots of staining and is VF/Exc.
