AFA graded and encapsulated. 4" tall figure, "Spider-Man(Black Costume)". Mattel, ©1984. First shot prototype Action Figure w/blue plastic molded torso. AFA-graded 85 NM+. Distortion of image of AFA label was caused by interior plastic brace. Label is complete and fully legible. Includes certificate from CIB w/notations: "Verified to have originated from former Mattel employee. Has painted blue plastic torso, harder legs, and spider logo with legs overlapping body." Incredibly rare to find any prototypes from this line, much less a key character such as Spider-Man w/provenance.
