Item Description
5-5/8x22-3/8" thin artboard w/India ink original art in by "Boots And Her Buddies" creator Edgar Martin. Art is for Sept. 18, 1941 and features four panels, w/Boots being joined by Professor and his wife, who comment on the nasty weather. Asking Boots what she's been up to, she replies that she's just been reading. The Professor picks up the book and comments that it's a good one and that he's had it for years. Martin's distinctive signature appears in last panel along w/NEA Syndicate, Inc. copyright strip (though middle part is missing). Top margin has "Boots Is Curious" title in pencil w/previous inked title "Hinting Around" crossed out. Pin holes at top corners w/some lt. scattered margin soiling. Fine/VF w/art remaining clean and Exc. Jan Wahl Collection.
