Item Description
Pair of 10x20" vellum-wrapped artboards w/mixed media original art for series of Jones Suds soap advertising signs and banner w/"Bubble Puzzle" premium offer. 1930s. These premiums were palm/dexterity puzzles featuring various comic characters of the period. First artboard has five different sign designs, featuring Shadow, Skeezix, Andy Gump, Harold Teen, Dick Tracy and others. Second artboard features three banner displays as they would be set up; two featuring images of the puzzles themselves along w/Lillums,, Dick Tracy, Harold Teen, Little Orphan Annie, Andy Gump and Herby. Vellum has evenly aged w/scattered handling and corner tip wear. Fine/VF overall. Unique pair. From the archives of premium creators Sam & Gordon Gold and comes with LOA.
