Item Description
19.5x23.5" frame contains matted artboard w/acrylic painting original art by The Brothers Hildebrandt created in 1994 for Fleer's wildly popular "Marvel Masterpieces" trading card series. Card features the character Scarlet Witch, who has been an Avengers member through several different iterations of the team. First appearing as a villain in "X-Men" #4, Scarlet Witch has recently made her debut in the Marvel movies. Scarlet Witch is depicted in outfit she wore in the 1994 "Scarlet Witch" limited series, her first solo title. Signed at lower right. Few pieces of original Marvel art by The Brothers Hildebrandt come up for sale on the secondary market, making this a truly special piece. Frame shows some scattered wear, but art remains NM and ready for display.
