Item Description
9x11.5" artboard has slightly smaller artboard attached w/mixed media original art painted by Irwin Hasen (1918-2015), noted for his 1940s work on Green Lantern and for creating Justice Society of America member Wildcat. This risque specialty art was gifted to Dan Makara from Hasen and shows Golden Age Green Lantern Alan Scott in flagrante delicto w/his female nemesis Harlequin as his sidekick Doiby Dickles holds his uniform shirt and Lantern. Top left has hand-lettered text reading "While Green Lantern Is Having His Way With His Nemesis, The Harlequin, Doiby Dickles Waits While The Meter Is Ticking." Dickles' taxi can be seen in bkg. Art has been inscribed "To My Secret Agent And Friend, Dan Makara" and is signed by Hasen at lower right as well as dated "'05." Surface of art has been coated in clear wash.
