Item Description
Pair of pieces for production of 1950s Western premiums. 6-7/8x24.75" cut-out "Annie Oakley Indian Headdress" prototype for Canada Dry premium. Headband has Oakley portrait at center, flanked by color photostats of Canada Dry six-packs. Rest is all original art. Vertical crease at center. VF/Exc. Other piece is 11x13-7/8" artboard w/applied photostats of"Big Chief Indian Headdress" premium and ad text for advertising display. This has paper overlay w/rough colored penciling for image of boy wearing headdress at top and premium name. Overlay has production printed cardboard headdress applied (not loose, but included) w/additional notations below. Scattered aging/handling wear. Fine overall. Neat pair that cashed in on the Western craze of the 1950s. Unique lot. From the archives of premium creators Sam & Gordon Gold and comes with LOA.
