Item Description
Pair of approx. 14x17" sheets of vellum w/mixed media original art for 1950s Halloween hotdog promotion. Gold produced work for several different meat companies over the years, but this is one of the more interesting we've seen. Both show two different Halloween displays made using hotdogs. One sheet shows witch and black cat, their bodies formed w/hotdogs, while other sheet shows pumpkin-headed man w/hotdog body and witch w/cat riding hotdog "broom" over rooftops. Both sheets have pencil notes at lower right, one noting "Halloween" while other has more detailed notes about promotion, w/some suggestions for Halloween verses and fortunes, etc. Both have horizontal fold lines at centers w/scattered handling wear/aging. Fine overall. Unique. From the archives of premium creators Sam & Gordon Gold and comes with LOA.
