Item Description
8.5x11" sheet of vellum mostly lead pencil original art (w/lt. blue colored pencil on back of sheet for partial color display) for General Foods box back offer for "World's Fair Unisphere Mystery Compass Top" which was available "Free Inside This Package." Premium novelty featuring the iconic Unisphere design was issued at the 1964 New York World's Fair and offer features all hand-lettered text and very detailed original art including two different images of the Compass Top as well as the NYWF Twins. Hand-lettered text includes "Top Spins On Magic Pedestal Where It Will Spine In Place - When It Stops... Top Mysteriously Stays On Pedestal And Will Point To A Direction On Compass Base!" Bottom has additional Fair promotional text that reads "North, South, East Or West.... Be Sure To Visit The New York World's Fair - See The General Foods Archways." Sheet has some glue staining at top margin and a few small spots of tape staining. Fine/VF overall. Unique piece for the Expo collector.
