Item Description
11x17" Blue Line artboard has pen and ink original art on 6-7/8x7.25" vellum panel applied to center. Art is by legendary Spider-Man artist John Romita Sr. and shows full body image the Silver Surfer seated on his cosmic surfboard w/his back to viewer, playing a musician's keyboard. This single panel of art was featured among nine others on back of the Lifesong "Spider-Man: Rock Reflections Of A Superhero" record release and ©1976 Marvel Comics Group. Romita also provided the art for the album cover for this release, w/rare Marvel art by Nick Cardy on the rest of the cover. Art has "The Silver Surfer On Keyboards" text block paste-over as well as small trademark symbol paste-over which has aged. Romita has boldly signed at lower right in black felt tip pen. Small spot of faint glue staining on Surfer's back, o/w art is Exc. Great art from a wonderfully weird 1970s Marvel item.
