Item Description

15x18.5" wooden frame contains Gold Record award presented to Mike Bruce, guitarist, keyboard player and vocalist for the original Alice Cooper band. Bruce co-wrote many of the band's hit songs, including several Bruce-only credited songs including "Be My Lover." Etched brass plaque below record reads "Presented To Mike Bruce By Warner Bros. Records For Australian Sales Exceeding $50,000 Of School's Out - Alice Cooper." Record is mounted on unique blackboard bkg. w/silk-screened "chalk" text that reads "School's Out - Alice Cooper" w/image of dagger. "School's Out" is the fifth studio album by Alice Cooper, released in June, 1972. The album's title track has remained a staple song in Alice Cooper's live setlist and receives regular airplay on many "Classic Rock" radio stations. Blackboard bkg. has 2.5" and 3" surface cracks at bottom and some scattered wear. Fine/VF overall. Comes w/8.5x10-7/8" photo print-out of Bruce playing guitar. Print has been signed "To John - Michael Bruce - AC '95'" in gold paint pen. Also comes w/two candid Polaroid photos, one showing Bruce playing guitar, the other showing collector "John" shaking his hand. This photo has also been signed by Bruce in gold paint pen. Comes with Hake's COA. A unique lot for a major Alice Cooper LP.
