Item Description
9-1/8x11-7/8" plastic spiral bound "Promo Kit" features full body comic image of Superman on cover and has interior pockets for holding the included nine glossy 8x10" publicity stills. Kit also includes text on Superman's history as well as cast and plot synopsis for various episodes of the "Adventures Of Superman" TV show starring George Reeves, which originally aired for six seasons in 1952-1958, w/a total of 104 episodes. All episode titles are listed w/brief synopsis for each. Promotional kit was issued by Flamingo Films, Inc. in early 1963, when the show went into syndication. Extensive information throughout. Stills show Reeves as both Clark Kent and Superman as well as co-stars Phyllis Coates and Noel Neill as Lois Lane and Jack Larson as Jimmy Olsen. Reeves is pictured on all but two stills. Exc. Kit has added synopsis sheet which was not bound w/rest and shows moderate even aging. Kit covers show moderate wear w/some small edge tears and corner tip wear. Fine overall. Contents remain clean and Exc. An invaluable reference to the classic TV show. Rare and first we've seen in our 50 years. Franco Toscanini Collection.
