Item Description
Original 11x14" lobby card for The Three Stooges' 34th short film for Columbia, 1938's "Mutts To You." The story deals with The Stooges operating a dog grooming business only to stumble upon a baby they believe to have been abandoned. The Stooges take the baby home, only for the child to be reported kidnapped. The Stooges attempt to return the baby to his parents by disguising Curly as a woman. They get stopped a policeman (played by frequent Stooges co-star Bud Jamison) and are summarily arrested. Lobby card features all Three Stooges, showing Jamison tickling the disguised Curly's chin as Larry and Moe hold the baby in front of Curly. Lower left has additional image of the Stooges at work, w/Curly doing the nails of a Dalmatian. Card is evenly aged and has been professionally gel-backed and has had slight cleaning and repair to 1" margin tear at top center, which is now only noticeable upon close inspection. Card retains sharp corners and displays Exc. A rare and desirable Stooges lobby card w/a wonderfully humorous image.
