Item Description
Large 29.5x40" molded and painted composition high relief store display. Unmarked but by Old King Cole Inc., the premiere manufacturer of Disney store displays. 1940. Old King Cole made a wide variety of exceptional Disney displays for stores and theaters. This figure depicts Pluto w/his ears up. "Pluto" name painted between feet. Open back reveals three wooden braces as made; two running through figure in "X" shape w/third in ear. Displays shows moderate wear along bottom edge w/some flaking of surface material. This does not detract greatly. Scattered surface cracking and dust soiling. .75" indent on Pluto's raised behind. All paint appears to be original. Displays Fine. Rare and first we've seen of this 1940 variety.
