Item Description
9x11-3/8" folder contains expansive kit issued in 1984 by Leisure Concepts Inc. and consisting of 40 glossy sheets w/art; 37 being numbered, (w/45 being the highest number) and three are unnumbered. These are broken down by character, including - Lion-O, Tygra, Jaga, Panthro, Cheetara, Wilykat, Wilykit, Snarf, Mumm-Ra (in both forms), Slithe, Reptilian, Monkian and Jackalman. Kit also has sections devoted to merchandising/branding, etc. Kit also includes seven "Thundercats Newsletter" featuring notes to licensees regarding updated information and design/artwork, w/four (one is a photocopy) having attached slides (total of five) featuring images from within the kit and those that had been updated. Slides include - Cats' Lair, SkyCutter vehicle, Castle Plun-Daar, "Thundercats" key art and slide featuring LJN blister card art. Kit also comes w/piece of correspondence from Leisure Concepts representative regarding items sent. Folder shows obvious wear w/numerous creases and corner tip wear w/2.75" split at bottom of spine. VG. Contents have varying degrees of handling wear and are Fine-Exc. overall. Rare due to very limited distribution to potential licensees. Extensive and a must-have for the Thundercats collector.
