Item Description
10x18x2.25" deep cardboard box w/photo/illustrated lid contains complete and unused A.C. Gilbert Co. set No. 6502, ©1920. Box shows some scattered wear, w/one lid corner loose w/some damage to surface paper (w/two .75" tears). Lid also exhibits some edge/corner tip wear and is Fine/VF overall. Box is complete w/die-cut insert holding various lengths/shapes of glass piping and tubes w/wooden rods, rubber tubing/joiners and rubber/cork stoppers as well as metal base and small cardboard box w/"Gilbert Toys" lid label that contains some hardware and worn glassine envelope w/number of hardened rubber balloon pieces, w/notable crumbling as material has hardened w/age. Kit comes w/extensive illustrated "Gilbert Hydraulic & Pneumatic Engineering" manual and appears unused w/just some scattered aging/dust soiling. VF overall. Rare. Barry Lutsky Collection.
