Extensive lot of 14 pieces, all featuring art from or from the time of Don Sherwood's run on "Return With Us To..." Sherwood (1930-2010) is also known for creating "Dan Flagg," the first nationally syndicated comic strip to feature a US Marine. Lot includes six signed stats/booklet/stapled packets. Lot also includes some of Sherwood's original pen and ink (w/screentone accents) art, eight pieces in total, ranging from 12.75x20.25" to 20.5x26.75". This includes pieces used in the printed material offered in this lot. Content of note includes - "Military Comic Strip Heroes" (Steve Canyon, Terry Lee, Buz Sawyer and Don Winslow) w/photo image of meeting w/LBJ, Sherlock Holmes, The Thin Man, "The Lone Ranger" TV actor John Hart as well as four group pages showing such personalities as FDR, Babe Ruth, Hopalong Cassidy, General MacArthur, Clark Gable, Charlie McCarthy, Joe Louis, Jayne Mansfield, Veronica Lake, war correspondent Ernie Pyle, Charles Lindbergh, W.C. Fields, Jimmy Durante, Eddie Cantor, Gene Autry, Kate Smith, Jane Withers, Gabby Hayes, Ugh O'Brian as Wyatt Earp from "The Life And Legend Of Wyatt Earp" and others.
