Item Description
15" tall high quality doll made by the Grand Dame of Disney doll designers Charlotte Clark. This doll comes from a member of the Clark family whom the doll was given to by Mrs. Clark. This particular doll is from the 1940s but was never manufactured in this exact style, rather a very similar Donald doll was designed by Charlotte Clark for Gund in the 1940s. Velveteen stuffed body with cloth legs and beak, corduroy hat and jacket with mother-of-pearl buttons. Has four separate stitched tail feathers. Oilcloth eyes. Nicely stitched detailing including eyebrows and mouth line. Although no longer attached, comes with .5"x2" Charlotte Clark fabric tag with copyright. White areas of doll have all over evenly aged. Slight trace of blue color fade to jacket and hat. However, doll remains structurally sound with very little wear aside from the aging. VF. An exceptional doll.
