Item Description
1.25" dia. w/no maker's name issued in 1941 to the relatively few readers requesting to become a "U.S. Jones Cadet" and who received a "National Emergency Kit" consisting of this membership button, a decoder and additional membership materials. The various items are detailed in Hake's Pop Culture Guide. Lt. trace of surface oxidation to metal back. Very minor indent at top left only noticeable on the reverse. Minor trace of surface wear only noticeable upon very close inspection. Front remains totally bright and glossy w/intense color. We have only offered six of these in our 49 years, the last selling for $2,645. Among the very rarest comic book premium buttons.
