Item Description
Original cardboard shipping carton contains large 25x32.5" die-cut cardboard store display that contains complete amount of 36 pairs of "Batman Sun Glasses" by A.C. Gilbert Co., ©1966 NPP, Inc. Shipping carton shows moderate wear w/12.5" edge split. Good/VG. Sunglasses are textured plastic that combine batwing design w/that of Adam West's cowl from the 1966 "Batman" TV show. Left arm of each set of glasses has "Batman" comic book title/logo sticker. Display shows moderate wear along bottom and at bottom corners as well as to top corners and die-cut top center, which is designed like "Batman" comic book title/logo. Display has some scattered aging/dust soiling and is VG overall. Sunglasses have some scattered lt. wear/aging but majority are NM as issued. This product was not a success for Gilbert, which has made individual examples of these sunglasses hard to come by. A complete display such as the one offered here is even rarer, as this is one of only a couple of such displays. First we've offered in our 49 years. An impressive show-stopper piece for your collection.
