Item Description
17.25x23" medium thin stock mat poster archivally mounted on 18.75x24.5" linen. Bottom right has Black Panther logo and lists "W. Madison St" Chicago office and phone numbers. At top left Hampton's most famous quote is reproduced, in part reading "You Can Jail A Revolutionary, But You Can't Jail The Revolution." A large blue tone portrait dominates the frame and a smaller image at bottom right features Hampton in mid speech arm raised in a pointing gesture w/text "I Am A Revolutionary" along the collar of his jacket. Bottom left lists name, position and "Born August 30, 1948/Murdered By Fascist Pigs Dec. 4, 1969." Professional restoration to folds and tears throughout. Otherwise light overall toning. Exc. restored condition. This is only the fourth example  known to us. Among the most desirable of Emory's poster art combining his classic rays, mash up style and featuring one of the Black Panther Party's most remembered martyrs.
