Item Description
For the 1962 inaugural season, Dodger Stadium also served as the home of the Los Angeles Angels, who referred to the Stadium as Chavez Ravine Stadium (or just "Chavez Ravine"). Offered here are two heavy 2.5" dia. medallions featuring same design of baseball player on front w/"Dodgers" name at top and "Angels" name at bottom and image of the stadium w/"Dodger Stadium - Los Angeles" text around edges and "April 10, 1962" opening day date. Both by Medallic Art Co. and in original cardboard boxes w/information sheets. One is pure silver (4.6 oz.) and marked w/"431" edition number while the other is bronze and marked w/low "006" edition number. Boxes show some wear and aside from some lt. aging, medallions are Exc. Comes w/3x5" display w/three 1" dia. 1962 Dodgers admission tokens under Plexiglas. Exc.
