Item Description
Pair of brass hinged lid cigarette cases, measuring 2-7/8x4-1/8" and 3x5.25". Smallest has etched text that reads "Compliments Of The Philadelphia Athletics Baseball Club - 'Connie Mack' Golden Jubilee - 1950." Mack was the longest-serving manager in MLB history, managing the Athletics for the club's first 50 seasons of play, starting in 1901, before retiring at age 87 following the 1950 season. He was elected to the Baseball HOF in 1937. Case has some lt. scratches but remains very glossy and VF overall. Second case features lightly etched Athletics elephant logo and team name. Scattered lt. wear and patina, Fine/VF. Comes w/3-7/8x3-7/8" glass ashtray w/reverse painted elephant logo and "Athletics" name. Exc. Last two items date to the 1940s.
