Item Description
Lot of eight notices and eight letters w/one guideline/recommendation folder. Ranging in size from 2.5x4.75" to 8.5x11", notice/letters inform same aspiring writer (Leo B. Pride) of the rejection of his manuscripts for publication in various pulp magazines. All date to the 1920s, w/several slips being dated along w/story title. Publications include - "The Red Book Magazine, Argosy-Allstory Weekly, Detective Tales, Weird Tales" among others. Some are form letters while others have been personalized w/some mentioning Pride's story titles. A few offer negative input, some reading "The Story Seems To Me Sadly Lacking In Plot" and "I Like Your Coal Mine Color In 'The Underground Savage' But That's About All. The Story Itself Is Weak And Told In An Uninteresting Fashion." Varying degrees of handling wear/aging. Some have been folded as mailed. Fine-Exc. See expanded description online.
