10-5/814" hardcover first edition w/128 pages and original illustrated dustjacket. Published by Playboy Press and distributed by Trident Press. ©1966 HMH Publishing Co., Inc. By Harvey Kurtzman and Will Elder, contents include reprints from earlier "Playboy" magazines. Inside front cover has been signed in blue felt tip pen by Elder, who inscribed "To: Charlie." Opposite frontispiece has been signed in blank ink "This Must Be No 400 Charlie! I'm Developing Writers Cramp! Best Frank Frazetta." Below this there is a blue felt tip pen sketch of Little Annie Fanny (who appears topless) by Kurtzman, who has added "Dear Charlie: Why Do You Write Like This?" word balloon. Kurtzman has signed w/his typical "Kurtz" signature w/stick figure man, adding "word balloon from stick figure that reads "Write Level, Charlie, Like This!" Kurtzman has also added "Sept. 10 '77" date and "FrazettaCon," indicating this was a convention featuring Frazetta's work, further explaining his signature above. DJ shows even lt. aging and scattered margin wear. Fine/VF. Book itself and signatures are Exc. A wonderfully personalized and unique item. Charlie Roberts Collection and come with Hake's COA.
