Item Description
Lot of 12 pieces comprise complete basic set of 10, measuring between 1" and 4.5" tall. Made by GEM Clay Forming Company for distribution by both sponsors of the Tarzan radio show and others. 1932. Basic Fould's set includes Tarzan w/Cheetah (this is first version w/o name on base), Kala holding baby Tarzan, Jane Porter, Numa the Lion, Sheeta the Panther, Witch Doctor, Pirate w/treasure chest, Lt. D'Arnot, Cannibal Warrior and Monkey Trio (which were counted as a single item and shipped in same box). All have been nicely painted by original owner w/a varnish added over top. Jane has some paint wear to her backside but o/w statues have just some scattered lt. aging/dust soiling but are VF-Exc. overall. Statues come w/9.5x9.5" order sheet which shows all statues in this set as well as color guide for painting. As noted on order sheet, three "Foulds' Directions" panels were needed for each statue. Sheet is folded as issued and shows scattered wear. Fine overall. See following item #2090.
