Item Description
5.5x10-7/8" single-sided herald for Aug. 5, 1920 screening of the 1918 film, the first Tarzan film. Showing occurred at The Empire Theatre, though no city name is listed. Starring Elmo Lincoln, herald touts film as "The Most Stupendous, Amazing Film Production In The World's History" and notes lions, tigers and leopards at top. Herald also notes "See Tarzan's Fight With The Lion - See Tarzan's Raid On The Cannibals - See Tarzan's Combat With A Giant Baboon - See Fight Between An Ape And Gorilla - See The Elephant Raid On Natives - See A Hundred Apes In The Jungles." Herald has been folded and has some aging along margins. Still displays Fine. All promotional material for this film is rare.
