Item Description
Set of 12 issued in 1935 around the time of the first issue of the magazine published by Hal Horne, that hit the stands in the summer of that year. Each features a different character w/dotted line below marked "Cut Here" and below is coupon numbered 1 through 12. Additional text reads "For A Complete Set, Numbers 1 to 12, You Will Receive Free A Copy Of The Mickey Mouse Magazine/The Hostess Cake Salesman" followed by coupon number. Cards #3 & 7 (Donald Duck & Clara Cluck) have coupons removed, all others are intact as issued. These cards feature: Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Horace, The Goof, Wise Little Hen, Mickey's Nephew, Max Hare, Toby Tortoise, Giddy Goat. All have trace of aging. Otherwise only lt. wear, sharp corners and free of creases. Overall EX/NM to NM. In our 48 years of of auctions, and specializing in Disneyana, we have never before seen a single card, let alone the full set. An amazing rarity for both Disney and non-sports collectors.
