Item Description
13-7/8x18" artboard w/original vellum overlay has mixed media original art for frontispage to 1981 English hardcover annual. Page served as the table of contents for the book and features great full body image of Wonder Woman battling slimy alien monster, her feet covered by the creature's mass as she uses her magic lasso against it and punches hole through one of its tentacles. Art was created by British comic artist Garry Leach (of "Miracleman" fame). Handwritten title at bottom along w/handwritten printer notes in black ink. Overlay also has printed notations regarding square provided for table of contents. Overlay shows wear w/tears at top corners and 1.75" strip of missing vellum at creature's mouth. Artboard has strip of tape along right margin, but this barely affects art. Scattered edge/corner tip wear. VF w/Exc. art.
