Item Description
5-5/8x17.25" Artcraft board features pen and ink original art by "Buzz Sawyer" creator Roy Crane. For Aug. 16, 1947 daily strip, which featured three panels. First panel features Pat reacting in shock at seeing Buzz Sawyer (whose back is toward viewer), being tricked into thinking he was Thirsty Collins. Second panel features wonderful side view of seaplane. Third panel shows Pat crying as she realizes Buzz doesn't want to marry her. Second panel has two KFS copyright strip paste-overs, one being partial. Crane has also signed and dated this panel. Margins show moderate aging/dust soiling at right w/two strips of dark tape staining at bottom left/right. Fine.
