Over the course of my career, I have been lucky enough to have worked in the television, music, and sports industry, starting out in New York working for ABC Television, working on shows such as Good Morning America and Wide World of Sports. 

While in New York, I was also a freelance designer for MTV in its first year of existence. Leaving New York, I returned home to Philadelphia, where I began as a designer for CBS Television, and worked my way up to become both art director and creative director for not only CBS Television, but for UPN (now CW) Television and all of their sister radio stations - WYSP (rock), WOGL (oldies), KYW-AM (news), WIP (sports). After more than twenty years, I finally retired.

During my career, I had the responsibility of overseeing all of the creative output that came from these stations. Doing print media, TV commercials, promos, graphics, set design, etc. All while overseeing a staff of over fifty people!

In addition to these co-workers, I had the pleasure of working with a variety of musicians, celebrities, and sports stars, all of whom I took the opportunity to obtain a signature or an item that would exemplify our working together. I just wish they had invented the cell phone sooner for the photo ops!

Along the way I have been rewarded, amassing both national and international awards in several categories; including seven Emmy Awards as well as numerous gold and platinum awards, Broadcast Designer Association Awards, and local/national Art Directors club awards. My most prized award being from Broadcasting magazine for a music video on Halley’s Comet. This stands out given the fact that no one else will win this award in my lifetime!

I have sometimes strayed, becoming an art gallery owner (Sol Gallery), and curator as well as an adjunct professor teaching television/graphics at my alma matter - Tyler School of Art (Temple).

I have always been a collector, and can thank my mother for the love of objects; all of which give me such pleasure, the memory of acquisition and all that I cherish.
