Item Description
c. 1940s. Large and imaginative radio is 9.5" tall with base dia. of 7". Body is designed as a baseball, heavy molded cardboard w/printed paper covering, pair of plastic knobs, three speakers w/wire covers and metal "Trophy" die-cut name plate on top. Base is metal and plastic. Ball has simulated stitching and text reads "No. AA Selected Quality/Genuine Horsehide/Cushion Cork Center/Official League Ball." Has original electric cord but this is well worn and as such, we have not tested. Needs to be rewired if desire is to use. Does have antenna wire as well. Baseball body show obvious wear and aging w/tanning to the white areas along with some scattered moisture spotting and other related defects. As is just for display and Good as such. Impressive design.
