Item Description
This magazine, although similar in format and design, is not to be confused w/the promotional magazines issued exclusively by dairies from Nov., 1933 through Oct., 1935 (see following items #1972-1973). This is from a series that predates that series and was distributed by various stores/businesses from Jan., 1933 through Sept., 1933. Only nine issues were printed and all are rarely seen. This issue is Vol. 1, No. 6, June, 1933. Published by Kay Kamen. 5.25x7.25" w/16 pages, contents are in bw. Father's Day ("Dad's Day") theme cover w/Mickey and the gang looking up at large "Dad" text. Contents include features "Ye Olden Days, Silly Symphony - Birds In Spring" stories w/film scenes as well as other illustrations and cartoons. Back cover features "Exhibitors" ad. Tiniest trace of wear at staples. Slightest aging but a totally bright and clean copy overall. VF. We have only offered a few issues from this rare series over our 46 years.
