Complete set of 12 hardcovers, each 6.25x8.5" by D.C. Heath and Co. Published between 1939 and 1948. Books feature a wide range of Disney characters and are along the same line as Dick and Jane books used to teach children to read, books becoming progressively harder as child moved from one book to the next in the series. This is the complete set of 12 (a Bongo book was proposed and is listed on some title pages but never published). Cover condition varies w/lower grade books having aging and color rubs, higher grade books show just minor corner tip or edge wear. For the most part, contents of all books remain bright and clean and are VF to Exc. Titles and conditions are as follows: "Water Babies' Circus And Other Stories, Here They Are, Mickey Never Fails, Dumbo Of The Circus, Donald Duck And His Nephews, Walt Disney's Pinocchio" are VF w/Exc. pages; "Mickey Sees The U.S.A., School Days In Disneyville, Little Pig's Picnic And Other Stories," are Fine w/Exc. pages; "Walt Disney's Bambi" and "Donald Duck And His Friends" are VG/Fine w/VF/Exc. pages; "Donald Sees South America" has moderate cover aging/dust soiling and is VG w/clean, VF pages. Several of the advanced reader books are scarce and these books are rarely offered as a set.
