Item Description
Each of these is 7/8" with a blank backpaper although they are known to have been issued as part of a button set by the maker W&H which in 1897 included seven "General Atheletes" and seven "Cyclists." The three here are "Corbett/Fitzsimmons/John L. Sullivan." Corbett has single 1/16" mark on far right, Fitzsimmons has light tan spotting of the background, Sullivan has about eight tiny dots on the background above his head plus one barely noticeable on his nose. All retain gloss. The first boxing buttons ever made.
